Tips and advice
The heating tubes in your HairMaster are the part that wears with use and, of course, can wear out. Luckily, replacing them is easy. Safety first: Switch off HairMaster, unplug it, and let the head cool down completely. The heating tube is made of glass – handle it carefully.

You’ll find the serial number under the head of your HairMaster. The serial number must be above 3,000,000 for you to be able to replace the tube.

Push the metal grille in towards the machine itself and pull/tilt it out. The grille is fixed in 2 holes at the outer end of the arm on your HairMaster. Take a quick look before you start pushing/pulling.

Press the heating tube slightly in towards one end so the opposite end loosens from the socket, then carefully tilt it out.
Stuck? Don’t force it. Give the tube a light twist (turn it slightly) while pressing in a little. Once it’s loose, you can tilt it out without resistance—you’ll know when it lets go, but it can be a bit stubborn on older machines.

Do the same in reverse: Insert one end into the socket, press in lightly, and tilt the other end into place. Same rule as before: Don’t force it. Give the tube a light twist (turn it slightly) while pressing it down a little into the socket.
The opposite of how you removed the grille: now guide it back towards the arm and press it in towards the machine itself so the grille slots into the 2 holes.
Connect the power, turn on your HairMaster, and check that the tube heats up steadily and evenly.
